Bhumikatva
Design Brief
We designed this marathi wada-inspired residence in ravet, pune, as a celebration of traditional maharashtrian architecture reinterpreted for contemporary living. set amidst lush green fields, the home is carefully oriented to embrace its serene surroundings while maintaining a strong connection to nature.
The architecture draws from the essence of the traditional wada, expressed through expansive verandahs, sloping tiled roofs, deep overhangs, and rhythmically placed wooden columns. these elements not only lend the residence its distinct character but also provide climatic comfort, shaded transitions, and seamless indoor-outdoor living. The planning is fully vastu-compliant, thoughtfully aligned to suit the lifestyle and functional needs of the client. material choices, proportions, and detailing reflect warmth, authenticity, and longevity, creating spaces that feel grounded yet refined.
This residence stands as a harmonious blend of heritage, context, and modern-day requirements, offering a timeless home nestled within the green landscape of Rawet.
